Welcome — what this blog is and isn't
One post a week, every Sunday. Patterns, pitfalls, and checklists for building with AI. No daily spam, no AI-generated thinkpieces, no 30-item link dumps.
First post. Quick context on what this blog is and what you can expect.
What this blog is
One post a week, every Sunday. Short — about 5 minutes to read. Each post is one of three things:
- A pattern that works. A workflow, a tool, a prompt pattern, a model swap. What it does, when to use it, what to watch for.
- A pattern that breaks. A thing AI gets confidently wrong. How to spot it, how to avoid it, what to do when you find it in your codebase.
- A checklist. Pre-deploy, pre-merge, pre-write — concrete lists you can copy into your repo or your workflow.
That's it. No 30-item link dumps, no auto-generated summaries, no "AI thinkpieces."
What this blog isn't
This isn't a daily AI news firehose. There are 1,000 of those already, and most are LLM-summarized aggregations of the same press releases. One good post a week beats seven mediocre ones.
This also isn't a hype channel. If something is overrated, the post will say so. If a tool everyone is recommending breaks in real codebases, the post will say that too. The point is utility, not promotion.
What you'll get out of it
Each post answers a question someone is actually trying to solve:
- How do I avoid this mistake?
- How do I save money on this?
- How do I make my AI workflow less brittle?
- What do I check before shipping?
If a post doesn't answer one of those, it doesn't ship.
