Spot the risky clauses before you sign

You are reviewing a vendor, client, or partnership contract and want the risk surfaced in plain language before you sign, not after something goes wrong.

Works best in: Claude

Review this contract and flag what could hurt me.

Inputs:
- Contract text: {{paste the full contract or the sections in question}}
- My role in this deal: {{e.g. buyer, vendor, contractor, licensor}}
- Contract type: {{e.g. SaaS agreement, NDA, services contract, partnership agreement}}
- What matters most to me: {{e.g. liability exposure, ability to exit early, IP ownership, payment terms}}
- Deal size or stakes (optional): {{e.g. $50k/year, 3-year term}}

Output:

## High-risk clauses
Table: clause, what it says in plain language, why it is risky for {{my role}}, severity (🔴 high / 🟡 medium / 🟢 low).

## What is missing
Standard protections a contract like this usually has that this one does not — auto-renewal opt-out, liability cap, termination for convenience, whatever applies to {{contract type}}.

## Redline suggestions
For each 🔴 and 🟡 clause, the specific replacement language to propose, not just "push back on this."

## What I would accept as-is
Clauses that look aggressive but are standard for {{contract type}} and not worth a negotiation cycle.

## The one question to ask before signing
If I could only raise one issue with the other side, which one and why.

Hard rule: do not flag boilerplate as risk just to look thorough. A contract with 3 real issues and 20 acceptable clauses should say so, not manufacture concern to fill the table. This is not legal advice — flag what needs a lawyer's eyes versus what is a reasonable business call on its own.
