Steel-man the opposing view

You disagree with something. You want to understand it well enough to argue with it honestly.

Works best in: Claude

Steel-man this position I disagree with. Make it as strong as a smart, honest person who genuinely holds it would make it.

The position I disagree with:
{{the view you find weak, wrong, or annoying}}

My objections:
{{your usual arguments against it}}

What I want from you:
1. **The position in its strongest form** — phrased as someone who deeply believes it would phrase it
2. **The best evidence/examples** for it — not the embarrassing ones I'm used to dunking on
3. **The genuine insight buried in it** — even if I ultimately disagree, what truth is the position pointing at?
4. **The legitimate critique of MY position** that follows from theirs — what would they say to me?
5. **Where they're probably still wrong** — and why my position holds despite the steel-man

If after steel-manning I should actually update toward their view, tell me. Don't artificially resolve in my favor.
