Overview

Fireflies is the meeting transcription tool built for sales and customer-facing teams. While Otter optimizes for general-purpose transcription and Granola for the founder-on-Mac workflow, Fireflies optimizes for getting call data into HubSpot, Salesforce, and the rest of your revenue stack with as little friction as possible. The bot joins Zoom/Meet/Teams calls, transcribes, and then runs a layer of analytics on top — talk-time ratios, sentiment, topic tracking, deal-risk flags. AskFred (their AI assistant) lets you query meetings, and Conversation Intelligence rolls up patterns across reps. Native CRM integrations are the killer feature: a closed-won call automatically populates fields, generates a summary, and creates follow-up tasks. If you don't have a sales motion, Fireflies is overkill — Otter or Granola will do the same transcription job for less. If you do, the CRM integration alone usually pays for the seats.
