Territory plan that holds up to the comp committee

When you're cutting territories for the next fiscal year and need a defensible allocation, not gut feel.

Works best in: Claude

Build a territory plan for next fiscal year.

Inputs:
- Headcount: {{number of reps, levels}}
- Target industries / verticals: {{list}}
- Geographic regions in scope: {{list}}
- Historical revenue by region/vertical: {{paste prior-year data}}
- Strategic bets: {{which segments we want to grow disproportionately, even if history doesn't support it yet}}

Output:

## Recommended allocation method
One of: equal-quota, weighted-by-TAM, weighted-by-historical, hybrid. Pick one and justify in 2 sentences.

## Territory map
Table: rep level | territory | quota | reasoning. The reasoning column is load-bearing — it needs to explain why this rep got this territory.

## Coverage plan
Which accounts each territory owns (not just regions). Include named-account list if relevant.

## Where this plan is fragile
Honest. 2–3 things that, if they happen, blow up the plan (rep attrition, vertical contracts, regional macro).

## What ramp looks like
For new reps or expanded territories: how long until they're at full quota, what the manager needs to do to get them there.

## Fairness check
A short audit: does any rep have a quota that's 30%+ above or below peers? If so, justify in 1 sentence each.

Hard rule: don't allocate based purely on history if the strategy is to shift. Name the strategic bet explicitly so it's reviewable.
